Karun Chandok signs with iSport for 2008 GP2 series.

After winning the race at Spa and bagging the award for the most improved driver for 2007 in the GP2 series, Karun Chandok was invited to test for iSport International after the season ended. Like many predicted the tests went well and Karun has signed up with iSport for the 2008 season.

Chandok wants more.

After impressing Red Bull Racing by finishing the second day of the test, a mere 0.7 seconds behind veteran David Coulthard, Chandok is aiming for more. In an interview with F1 official website Karun had this to say

Karun Chandok to test for Red Bull Racing

Karun Chandok has been invited to test with Red Bull Racing next week at Barcelona for two days starting next Tuesday. It should be noted that Red Bull is one of the sponsors of Karun and Sebastien Buemi, the regular tester will be competing in the Macau F3 race.

Karun Chandok wins ‘most improved driver’ award.

Karun Chandok added another feather to his cap this weekend by winning the award for the ‘most improved’ driver in the GP2 championship. This earns him a test with the 2007 championship team iSport.
Karun commented on the award and his progress this season on his personal website

Bad weekend for the Indian racers

Both Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok were racing this weekend as we had posted earlier.
Narain representing Team India qualified 5th for the sprint race, the best qualifying position for India thus far, but unfortunately he could not turn that into a good result.
