Akhsay was from Andhra Pradesh, did his M.S. in Alaska and was working as designing engineer for Falcon Jet Airways in Arkansas on behalf of Satyam. Here’s the gut wrenching part, an hour before he was shot he had called his mother in India to greet her for Sankranti.
The motive behind the shooting is suspected to be robbery and the Little Rock police have arrested a suspect by the name of Brandon Johnson (20). [Hindu]
Johnson and some accomplices are believed to be involved in a wave of robberies and murders in the Little Rock area and Akshay is possibly one of their victims. Akshay was shot in the thigh and legs and died from profuse bleeding.
