Gandhi’s statue placed next to a trash can …
… at Madame Tussauds and this is news, why? [Timesnow]
Break out the tissues, someone’s offended

And to top it, National Enquirer style news coverage by the TimesNow reporter who covered this non-story.
Two gems from the TimesNow writer:
In a shocking instance of apathy towards one of the greatest figures of peace and non-violence, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s (Mahatma Gandhi) waxwork at the reputed Madame Tussauds in London is found lying away from other political stalwarts, placed near a dustbin.
and …
While Bollywood actors end up being a star attraction at Tussaud’s Museum, there is very little respect met to the real hero of the nation.
Really? Why is it so shocking? The dustbin (trash cans) are presumably for use by the customers, and well used by the looks of it. Besides, didn’t Gandhi used to clean toilets to teach dignity of labor? I really hope the TimesNow writer was being facetious.
