The crash killed driver Kaushik Deb, 26, and five of his six passengers — Manoj Jharia, 35; Mili Jharia, 28; Nitin Agarwal, 29; Swati Agarwal, 25; and Shubham Choudory, 24.The sole survivor in the minivan, Nitin Gupta, 28, was sitting in the front passenger seat

Four of the dead worked for Syntel Inc. as software professionals. The other two deceased were spouses of two of the software engineers. Donations for the families of those killed in the crash may be sent to Syntel Accident Fund, 525 E. Big Beaver Road, Suite 300, Troy, MI 48032.
