Desi millionaire couple convicted for slavery (UPDATED)

Varsha and Mahender Sabnani of Long Island were convicted of enslaving two Indonesian women they brought to their mansion to work as housekeepers. This couple has been in the news earlier here at UD .The Sabhnanis are currently under house arrest on a bail package that required them to post $4.5 million and pay an estimated $10,000 a day for security monitoring.

The Times of India reports that a jury has also decided that the couples $ 1.6 million mansion should be forfeited to the government as the crimes were committed there.(link)
