This year, Leiber was named the most prestigious handbag brand in the Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI) survey. So it is no surprise that the brand would eventually make its way to India.

What was more interesting were some of the attendees at the Leiber preview event held in Mumbai this week. Unlike the regular junta that first decides on an outfit and then finds matching accessories, we had couple of ladies who first decided on their accessory and then chose their outfit. Take Sangeeta Assomull, who managed to get Suneet Verma to design a sari specially for her. The sari had an embroidered rose motif that exactly matched the red rose design on her precious Leiber clutch. And then you had Anju Taraporewala who wore a dress that had a red lips print that matched the red lips on her Leiber clutch!

Dressing up now is never going to be the same again, is it?
