A FOB’s ambassador in the USA?
Toyota has been in the news recently for a lot of recalls. The company has decided to recall 264,000 cars to repair their fuel pipes mostly in their Lexus GS and IS sedans in the USA.
But the title refers to another developing story, a law suit filed by the Singh family for approving vehicles with broken seat belts and other serious defects.
According to the family, in 2002, Ramdir Singh, was burnt alive in his Toyota Corolla when his car was hit by another vehicle. His son tried to free Ramdir from the car, but the seat belt was stuck and would not give way. By the time he crawled our of the car to seek help, the car was in flames.
According to CNN [Via] a judge imposed a gag order on the kid.
Meanwhile, Katy Cameron, a whistle blower who works at the New United Motor Manufacturing facility, where Ramdir’s car was apparently made has gone public claiming that when she spotted seatbelt problems and reported it to her bosses, they demoted her twice.
The civil trial opened yesterday.

Of course then there is this story of Toyota overworking an employee so much, he died. I swear I’ll never buy a Toyota! Hondas rock!
