As I sit in the comforts of my living room watching yet another era of unstablity cloud Pakistani politics, images of Benazir Bhutto keep flashing on TV and the western media seems intent on potraying her as a messiah of democracy standing up to a big bad dictator.

While we all know there are really no good guys or bad guys in this eternal political struggle going on in Pakistan, I distinctly remember thinking how the years have taken their toll on this once attractive woman. When Benazir (first from right) came to power in 1988, she might’ve very well been the first “rock star” Prime Minister - young (35 at that time), attractive, educated, well spoken, she gets a spot as the only South Asian in Über Desi’s list of Hottest Female Politicians.

Other on this list include (from left):
*Cristina Kirchner (first from left), President-elect of Argentina. Cristina, in her 50s, has aged well like - to quote a cliche - Argentinian wine.

*Sarah Palin (second from left), Governor of Alaska. She’s also a former Miss Alaska, as you can tell. To quote John Cho from American Pie 2 - “MILF, MILF,……”

*and finally, Yulia Tymoshenko (third from left), former Prime Minister of Ukraine and one of the leaders of the Orange Revolution. Yulia, sans her trademark hairdo, is invited to the Über Desi Orange Revolution, vodkas with orange juice, anytime.

I could come up with a billion hot princesses (Diana, Kelly of Monaco) and queens (Rania of Jordan) but I prefer non-monarchs. Which lady would you nominate for this list?
Criteria:
1. Should’ve been in politics recently
2. Preferably desi (ahem we’re Über Desi after all)
3. Reasonably attractive (I’m a guy after all)

Note: Just because I included these women in my list of attractive ladies does not by any stretch of imagination equate to me agreeing with their brand of politics. In fact besides Bhutto and Palin, both of whom I disagree with politically, I’ve no clue of the political leanings of the other two.
