Being a big F1 fan, I have never managed to catch a complete broadcast of the 24 Hours of Le Mans ever. I do occasionally read about it and keep myself updated on drivers who make it into F1.

The LC70 / LC75 from the Indian Le Mans Project website.
But this weekend when I was digging for information on Narain Karthikeyan’s possible Le Mans ride, I came across a very interesting concept. The India Le Mans Project, an idea formed by Sirish Chandaran, assistant editor at ‘Overdrive’ and Courage Competetion, who will be racing for the 25th time in Le Mans.
So what exactly is the Indian Le Mans Project?
In short, a ride for Indian Drivers with the support of Indian companies to showcase their skills and take part in the 24 hour endurance race for the next four years.
For 2007 there will be an Indian branded car that will be driver by an Indian driver. Besides Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandok has been linked to the ride.
You can find the Indian Le Mans Project website here and as usual, we will keep you updated on any developments.
