On a serious note: The obsession with hair is a sad commentary on how we all let some arbitrary standard of beauty dictate how we feel about ourselves. The standard of having long, straight hair is inherently unfair and illogical for those of us who are not genetically disposed to have straight hair. I think its sad that little girls undergo lots of tortuous procedures( straighteners etc ) just to "fit in"
