This is a very difficulty subject for me to write about- not the least necause of my own middle class upbringing. No decent human will grudge Rubina success but like you said dropping a ton of money to a poor family is a recipe for disaster UNLESS there is some disinterested party that will look after the child's interests.Danny Boyle's trust has recently appointed a social worker who is supposed to do that - lets see. I was quite hesitant to write this post.Its really a tricky subject – was it better for Simon Doyle not to have exposed the Slumdog kids to international fame?
