Hold the presses! We @ Über Desi have uncovered the plot for M. Night Shyamalan’s next movie “The Baby”,
The movie entirely financed by UTV is set in the Mumbai suburb of Sion. The story opens in a delivery room - frantic action, screams, shrieks, all followed by silence. More frantic action, the doctors try to revive the baby. No luck, the monitor flatlines. The mother sobs inconsolably. The father goes into a zombie like trance. He waddles around the hospital completing formalities so he can obtain the baby’s body and cremate it. The grieving parents make their way to the cemetery and are ushered in by the dour faced chowkidar (Shyamalan in a cameo).
Then the trademark Shyamalan twist: As they’re getting ready to cremate the baby, the mother sees the body move and then the baby miraculously starts gurgling.
This really happened - a baby declared still born came to life on its way to the cemetery. [BBC]
The mother was laced with so many medications that when the baby was born her body was limp and had no pulse or heart beat. But in a case of what appears to be gross negligence the doctors apparently ignored the baby’s “attempts to breathe” and declared her stillborn. The poor baby was rushed back to the hospital from the cemetery and is still under a ventilator in critical condition. And you thought, you had a rough day at work?

Aww!
I hate stories about dead babies but at least this one had a happy ending!
oh this is a true story, you had me scared that he was making another movie
Terrible! I always thought such things happened only here, until I recently read an article about how incidents of leaving needles/surgical instruments behind - within the patient’s body - during surgeries are on the rise in the USA.
And its an epidemic - see this
