Ivy Tech Community College professor Sue Donaldson and six student volunteers want after-hours admission into an Evansville area zoo to observe the mating habits of the rare Francois langur monkey (link)
Donaldson and her team were stymied by the zoo’s refusal to allow them night-time access. The zoo’s policy is for after-hours visitors to be accompanied by a zoo employee at all times and no employees are available to work nights. Donaldson is disappointed because in the 1970s the same zoo had allowed her after hours access to study the mating habits of the capybara, a large rodent.Based on her studies, she had published several papers. Alas, the mating habits of the maccaca shall remain under wraps until the zoo relents!
