We’ve all heard those apocryphal stories of clueless Western marketeers attempting to peddle their products in developing conutries without taking the effort to find out what is culturally acceptable. Tales such as that of the Chevy Nova and the unintentionally hilarious Pepsi ads in China .

I present proof of one business - a fancy skin care clinic - that should NEVER attempt to open a franchisee in India , given the national obsession with light skin color.
