When Paris Hilton was slated to play Mother Theresa , I gamely put on a brave face and soldiered on. But if Mallika Sherawat is to act beside Jesus Christ , I cannot carry on any more. (link)
The film ( “The Aquarius Gospel”) will trace the years in Christ’s life from the age of 13 to 30, of which there is no record in history. There are many theories about what Christ did in those years, one of the popular beliefs being that he visited Kashmir
For the approximately two desis who have not heard of her , Ms.Sherawat’s claim to fame lies in her skimpy film roles and increasingly skimpy outfits. (She can also be found on an Uber Desi banner which is politically incorrectly entitled “Uber Hot”?).
She will play Saraswati, a loyal friend of Christ, when he travels through India
If the movie’s premise intrigued you beyond Ms.Sherawat’s presence, you can read more about it here.
Today has not been a good day for Christians , what with other news from Singapore of a line of cosmetics named “Looking Good for Jesus” being pulled from shelves after Customer complaints. (link) Not surprising , considering :
Promising to “Redeem your reputation and more,” the product line included a “virtuous vanilla”-flavored lip balm and a “Get Tight with Christ” hand and body cream, The Straits Times said.
Honestly, were the marketing geniuses behind this even thinking? This takes bad taste to a whole new level.

It is politically incorrect to call someone “hot”? Man, do I have a lot of PC training in store for me
Only mildly non PC - don’t worry !

But the real question is: Is Emraan Hashmi playing the J-man?
Perish the thought - I clicked on the second link and was deeply sorry that I did. I cannot imagine a fate worse than playing tonsil hockey with the Hashmi!
