55 – year old Surinder Kumar Goswami died Friday night at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vallejo,California. He worked as a clerk at the 7-11 in the graveyard shift for around seven years. He was the victim of a robbery by unknown persons.A customer found him shot and called the police (link)
Kumar had been working the graveyard shift at the 7-Eleven store for about six years, Sgt. Vic Massenkoff ( of the Vallejo Police) said.He had manned the store during several past robberies and had always fully cooperated with the suspects, he added.
Surinder Kumar’s son , Sarabjeet Singh is traveling to the USA to get his father’s body back to India. (link) He said

This is the second violent robbery that has resulted in the death of desis in the San Francisco Bay Area in the recent past,after the death of two brothers at their restaurant .
