Force India F1 to launch car in Mumbai

With most teams launching their cars in their European HQ’s or on track, Mallya and Force India F1 have decided to launch the car in Mumbai. If I am right, this is probably the first time a car has been Asia (Honda, Super Aguri and Toyota would be the other teams, but I think they launch their cars in Europe).

As far as the car goes, the chassis will be from the last years Spyker car, with Aero updates. There are no demo runs scheduled at this point, the car will officially run at Barcelona on the 25th of February. However, the Mumbai launch should reveal the new colors and livery of the car and perhaps a few new sponsors. The airwaves have been filled with possible Indian sponsors on the car and I know for a fact that Tata and Williams F1 parted ways last year.

With an additional $50 Million budget, expect more changes as the season progresses. While the Scarlet team topped the time sheets, a Spyker piloted by Fisi managed to finish with the 11th fastest time, a decent achievement.

Finally, we will have more than just rumors to write about.
