On January 14th 2008, Bobby Jindal was inaugrated as the Governator of the Cajun state. He is the first Indian-American to hold this post. Jindal, whom most of our readers are familiar with, is the son of Indian immigrants who changed his name and religion. Here’s the irony in the picture, Jindal who is obviously desi, promises to clean up widespread corruption in the state. Whether he can do it or not is another matter, but when Americans elect a desi to clean up corruption, the situation must be really bad. Either that or Jindal pulled a page from the book of Indian politicians and the gullible American voter fell for it. [link]
