Manishkumar Patel, the accused in this case posted bail and vanished!! [link via]

Appleton lawyer Thomas Zoesch said Friday he will withdraw as attorney for Manish Patel, the defendant in an abortion pill case who is now believed to have fled the area.

Now we can only speculate where he fled to but you would assume that his passport was confiscated before setting him free on the streets, or given the way this case has been handled so far, is that too much to expect? So if any of you Über Desis come across a creepy desi guy who cheats on his wife, beats his mistress and slips abortion pills into drinks, you know who that is and vaat to do.

Update: As speculated on here, local news outlets are reporting that Manish did flee to India around Christmas time. If true, that is extremely negligent of the authorities to post bail without confiscating his passport. [link]
