Inspector Masood Khan, a police officer with the British Transport department was fired for having a quickie with a woman at Gatwick airport’s railway terminal. [link]

The court was told how Khan, a police officer for 15 years, used an internet dating site to arrange a meeting with a 43-year-old woman at Gatwick airport’s railway station.

Just as an FYI, Craigslist now has a London section.

CCTV footage showed the couple entering a sparsely furnished office at the end of platform two, where they remained for 20 minutes. Khan said he accepted the woman performed a sex act on him and that they had full intercourse during that time.

If they had not had “full intercourse”, could Khan have pulled a Bill Clinton and proclaimed “I did not have sexual relationships with that auntywoman”?. Either way, isn’t 20 minutes is an awfully short(pun unintended) time for her “to perform an act on him” and for them to perform “full intercourse”?

Khan was so duty-conscious, he stayed in touch with this staff for the entire 20 minutes.

At the time of the incident, Khan was the most senior officer on duty in charge of rail network across the south east, and was responsible for 20 officers. Khan said he remained in contact with his office by mobile telephone and radio throughout the meeting.

The Brit establishment, being the stiff upper lip that they are, did not quite appreciate Khan’s dedication to his work.

The charge he admitted today stated: “On July 23 2006, whilst on duty and in uniform at Gatwick Airport and holding the rank of Police Inspector and duty officer for the London South area of the British Transport Police, you brought discredit upon the police service by having sexual intercourse with the complainant.”
