Multiple theories on Bhutto assassination

Initial reports of the blast stated Bhutto was safe. Then that quickly changed to her being admitted to an emergency room.

In the immediate aftermath of the blast, police said that Ms Bhutto had safely escaped the attack. But later it became apparent that she had been taken to the Rawalpindi General Hospital’s emergency section.

That was followed by reports of her brain injury and death from “unknown sources” and Bhutto’s body was buried without performing an autopsy.

A seven-member team of doctors which examined her sent a report to the health ministry saying Ms Bhutto had open wounds on her left temporal region from which “brain matter was exuding“. The report did not say what caused the wound, apparently because no autopsy had been performed on the body.

On hearing the “no autopsy” blurb, CSI Miami’s Horatio Caine grimaced and adjusted his sunglasses.

Not soon enough, a mouthpiece for the Musharraf regime came forward with the most ridiculous story in this saga to date - Bhutto died doing a Neo - she cracked her skull dodging bullets.

A day later, an Interior Ministry spokesman, Brig Javed Iqbal Cheema, told the media that Ms Bhutto died of a skull fracture caused by a lever attached to the sun-roof of her bullet-proof vehicle. He said she must have hit her head against the lever when she ducked to escape the assassins’ bullets. He denied that her body carried any gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile, all along sources closes to Bhutto including the woman who cleaned her body before burial claim her death was from gunshot wounds to the neck …..

The interior ministry’s version has been rubbished by Ms Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) which says that she was shot in the neck, and that the bullet exited from the back of her head.
Party spokeswoman Sherry Rehman said that she was with Ms Bhutto when the attack took place, and later cleaned her body at the hospital. She says that she saw two wounds that were bleeding profusely.

…. which raises questions of lack of security or, even worse, conspiracy on part of Mushie’s regime.

But if the PPP’s version is held to be true and the assassin indeed got so close to Ms Bhutto as to be able to hit her at almost point-blank range, then all sorts of questions are raised, ranging from lax security to complicity by elements within the government.

Couple this with reports of Bhutto’s own husband refusing permission to autopsy her body and the scene of the blast being hosed down resulting in damage of fingerprints and other valuable evidence and the case gets murkier than a post-Sixth-Sense Shyamalan flick.

Now among other things, Bhutto supporters are claiming she was targetted by sophisticated Vulcan-ishtyle laser beams. [link]

PAKISTAN opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was killed not by an assassin’s bullet but by sophisticated “laser beam technology”, it was claimed yesterday.
Members of Ms Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) claimed their former leader was felled by laser beams, which caused massive head injuries.
Sources claimed reports of gunshots fired at Ms Bhutto as she waved to crowds from the sunroof of her van and subsequent bomb blast were a “decoy to hide the real shooters”.

Under increasing international pressure for his government’s bungling/cover up of the Bhutto assassination case, Mushie has called in Scotland Yard. [link]

Scotland Yard said at the time that “a small team of officers from (Scotland Yard’s) Counter Terrorism Command will be travelling to Pakistan to provide support and assistance in the investigation into the death of Benazir Bhutto.
“The officers will travel to Pakistan as soon as possible. The Pakistan authorities continue to lead the investigation into Benazir Bhutto’s death,” it added in a statement.

All young brown men might as well go into hiding given Scotland Yard’s trigger happiness in the face of adversity.
