The Tata - Jag deal has and will have a lot of benefits, most of which do not meet the common eye. The first in the list seems to be the Italian connection.

Fiat besides owning the Scuderia owns this amazing company we have come to know as Alfa Romeo. Fiat is also in bed with Tata and has been advising the Indian car company on its acquisition. In addition a while back, Fiat was considering buying Jaguar, but passed it up.

If all this does not help, the chief of Fiat was quoted as commenting that borrowing a power train and a platform from Jag could produce a stunning 169, while taking care of costs.

Autocar also tips readers saying the existing Jag dealership in the USA could very well help Alfa find it’s way back into the country. Every single time I have seen an Alfa, it has taken my breath away, if anyone knows how to design a car, its the Italians . If Alfa does come back, I already see Tata saying cha-ching, that and the dealers will have nothing to complain about ever.
