But I don't think it compares to a government-sponsored systematic oppression of an ethnic minority and throwing protestors in prisons and labeling them terrorists. Also we have to wonder, why these people build an illegal temple in the first place. Did they simply bypass the government? Did the government not grant them permission to build one legally and so they were forced to resort to underground methods? Sandeep,

The truth is the Indian malaysians continue to remain most backward and the govt policy which favours the bhoomiputra's(Sons of the soil)is not helping one bit.Imagine the local indians and chinese cannot even own a taxi the license is given to the bhoomiputra and the Indians and chinese have to pay the malay to drive a taxi. But the chinese population has always been a clever bunch and today dispite all odds they are the most well to do community in Malaysia(are the indian malaysians listening).
