Yes building a temple illegally is wrong. But I don't think it compares to a government-sponsored systematic oppression of an ethnic minority and throwing protestors in prisons and labeling them terrorists.
Also we have to wonder, why these people build an illegal temple in the first place. Did they simply bypass the government? Did the government not grant them permission to build one legally and so they were forced to resort to underground methods?

well the indian's in malaysia tried what works in India...they built a temple illegally.But the malaysian govt could have handled it better...they demolished the temple on"Diwali" day while people were still praying inside.Then when people protested threw them in jail and slapped all those ridiculous charges on them.

The truth is the Indian malaysians continue to remain most backward and the govt policy which favours the bhoomiputra's(Sons of the soil)is not helping one bit.Imagine the local indians and chinese cannot even own a taxi the license is given to the bhoomiputra and the Indians and chinese have to pay the malay to drive a taxi.

But the chinese population has always been a clever bunch and today dispite all odds they are the most well to do community in Malaysia(are the indian malaysians listening).

You are correct those 31 guys were initially charged with attempted murder. Seems like they got them in on a frivilous charge and when that one wouldn't stick slammed them with another one.

This is total BS man. I mean whatever is happening there is one thing, but to connect them to a terrorist organization is another.

Did they not initially say that they arrested people because they tried to kill the cops?
