What do you do when you can’t garner the support of your people? You call your campaign manager and look at new ways of garnering peoples attention.

That is what Soniya de Pavaiya did. She called Elizabeth Jeffords, a retired architect from Colorado, now settled in Bangalore. The common bond between them, they are both Transsexuals. While researching this article, we found that this was not the first time Elizabeth was out helping transsexual candidates.

Back in October last year, Elizabeth was out canvassing for Radhika, a transsexual candidate competing for the local elections in Salem, one of the smaller cities of Tamilnadu. Although Radhika lost the election, I assume that the show of support made her popular with the transsexuals.

Back to the present day, Elizabeth is out canvassing for Soniya in Ahmedabad.

Elizabeth has also founded a charitable trust TG Voices India.
