Is it me, or does this banner on her website read, “0 Credentials, Trust, Resluts”?

Regular readers of the Desi blogosphere will have caught this article on SM about Doc 420 or as Abhi put it, the anti-Sanjay Gupta of the Indian American community. When Abhi wrote the post, the doc’s website was down.

The very alert Chick Pea, alerted us to the fact that the website in now up. Redesigned, it sports new treatments like Weight loss, Smoking cessation, Botox and Dermal fillers, making Doc420 an all rounder.

And what’s with the music? Is it a very Californian thing? I remember searching for properties around the Bay Area and most websites had some random song playing in the background, but way less annoying than this one.

Anyways, This is what Doc 420 has to say in the welcome letter to her patients

I strive to provide a wide spectrum of medical services at cost effective affordable prices with completely free evaluations/consultations so that every patient has an equal opportunity to benefit from any of my medical services, regardless of their financial status. I also offer no interest financing for those patients who may need financial assistance.

First off, the only thing worse than a no interest doctors appointment is Kia doing a buy one get one free deal, except her treatments are so cheap, that you will have money left over for a real car. So I don’t get the whole 0% financing scheme.

Then there is the money back guarantee on the medical marijuana recommendations, her website says

We guarantee a 100% refund if you do not qualify for a medical marijuana recommendation.

Her marketing bid, might be legal, still it makes me cringe. Well that and her office seem more like a massage parlor than a doctors office. For the life of me, I can’t make up my mind if it is a good thing.

Creative and edgy, yes. Smart? we will let time decide that one.
