Original Post:
I visit India often. Despite being a macaca, for some reason, the flying-across-seas-gene from my macaca god was not passed onto me.
So I’m forced to use these flying metal tubes named airplanes. Buying a ticket for these airplanes is a different story. India being halfway across the world, these tickets literally cost an arm and a leg, in some cases my yet-to-be-conceived first born. The last time I booked one of these plane ticket things, I found the best deal on Orbitz. Earlier, I’ve hit up travel agents and flown on up to 4 flights-one way-just to find the cheapest ticket. But I’ve never tried what the desi man in this story tried.
Presenting from my state of Florida, land of the weird [link] (tip Runa via Über Tipster):
An East Indian man surrendered to a SWAT team hours after he walked into an Orlando bank with a briefcase and demanded a plane ticket to India, prompting officers to evacuate the business.
It gets weirder.
When officers arrived, the man refused to leave the bank and said “he wanted to go to India,” Orange County sheriff’s representative Jim Solomons said.
A bank worker who flagged down a passing police officer said the man sat in a chair and did not moved after entering the building. Witnesses said they saw the man praying inside the bank.
Runa, our tipster, has this to say:
“Well, here I was- feeling homesick for the des and bemoaning the fact that the budget does not stretch to allow a trip to India this year. This macaca evidently has had enough!”
We agree. Über Tip to the marauding macaca: Next time call a travel agent.
