Ashoe: The F1 race itself might not make money.

Rather than think of the event as a money maker, the race should be used as a feeder for tourism and investment.

That way in the long run we could make money.

And also, this would increase awareness about motor sports, more sponsors would be willing to help out up and coming drivers.

What a resource hog, waste and potential (guaranteed?) future corruption pit.

I seriously think Delhi (and India) have better things to spend their money on! The minimal short-term benefits of such an undertaking do not overcome the negatives. IMO.

No they do not have a circuit in Delhi and it is too late to build one. It has to be a street race, because that takes the least amount of time to set up.

Road race around the Rashtrapathi Bhavan? I once heard snippets about that possibility, but I don't think that will be feasible given the security concerns. which means they need a circuit and do they have one yet in Delhi?
