Why did Sujith make bomb threats?

No one seems to know what was on Sujith Venkatramolla’s mind when he walked into a library in Rolla, Missouri holding a paper bag with white stuff in it and a knife, uttering bomb and anthrax threats.
Authorities subdued him with a stun gun and he is now facing criminal proceedings for making terrorist threats. Sujith’s supporters, the creators of HelpSujith.com, are claiming he is “emotionally troubled” and may be suffering from “chronic depression”.
Considering the Sujith’s background, it seems unlikely that his intent was to physically hurt anyone. Nevertheless, that does not make his any less guilty. If he is indeed depressed and unstable as his family, friends and supporters claim, maybe all he needs is a good lawyer.
