Virgin (of Richard Branson fame) comics has unleashed it’s latest superhero (tip: Bess via email). He is short (5′4″ with generous measurement), wears protection for his body and his weapon is a cricket bat! Ladies and gentleman, boyz and girls, macacas of all ages, Virgin comics proudly brings to you:
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar a.k.a Master Blaster the superhero.

The cricketing legend has linked up with Virgin Comics and his character will wear body armour and wield a flaming cricket bat.
Tendulkar holds the records for most Test centuries (35) and one-dayers (41) and most runs in one-dayers (14,783).
Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson said: “Sachin’s success is legendary and we are delighted to collaborate with him.”

This move is expected to cash in on an Indian market largely bereft of heroic figures in public life. Tendulkars prowess (or, sometimes, the lack of it) is on display in the current cricket World Cup, where India is tottering on the brink of elimination.
Unless Tendulkar plays real-life superhero to get India into the next round, something he has done before, the fickle Indian cricket fans would rather burn these comics than read them.
