Selection Sunday came and went and as usual a few teams that were on the bubble had their bubbles burst notably Syracuse, Kansas State and Florida State. Stanford and Purdue were a couple of teams that were on the bubble and got invited to the Big Dance. FAMU and Niagara play in Dayton, Ohio for the 64th spot and the winner gets the honor of playing the top seed in their pod, Kansas. Speaking of top seeds, Florida, Kansas, North Carolina and Ohio State are #1 seeds in their respective pods and get easy opening round match-ups playing the #16 seeds in their pods. A #16 seed has never upset a #1 seed in the history of the NCAA tournament.
