At the end of the day we all are human and music is perhaps the one of the most important cultivation by human race.........why all the fuss about this sucking media bites!! We love Nora's music and this is an unbonded commodity!!.........I love Jazz and country music even though it has nothing to do with my recognized social identity. Deep down music is bonded by many common strings!!

Her father is Indian and she is American. She has no connection to India and was raised by her mother. Enough said. My father is Irish and my mother is an American of Irish descent but I do not consider myself Irish. I am an American.

When Ben Kingsley was interviewed on India TV, the interviewer spent almost the whole hour prompting him to say nice things about India instead of letting him talk about his work. The Indian media can be so infantile sometimes.

Just because she is half indian genetically, does not mean she has to feel Indian. Think about it, she was born and raised in America by a white mother. Where is she gonna learn about the Indian part of her culture? Where is she gonna learn about the language and the culture? From her white mother? I don't think so. If there's one person to blame for Norah's lack of understanding of Indian culture, it's her dad Ravi. So get off her case.

I myself am an NRI who was born and raised in England. It's not the same as living in India, you have to have a balance of both cultures. There are some Indians here who are too western and some are too eastern. It's best to have a balance.
