National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj features Kal Penn as Taj Mahal Badalandabad, which by the way is probably the most stereotypical Indian name I’ve heard to date. In the original Van Wilder movie, Taj is a nerdy student exchange student from India who learn to party under the tutelage of Van Wilder and finally loses his virginity (or does he?).

Can Kal do it by himself this time around?
This is a landmark movie because its probably the first time in the history of Bollywood, a man of Indian origin is featured in a lead role, by himself. Think about it. Harold and Kumar featured him as a co-lead - John Cho was the other guy.
This movies features Taj (Penn) who has completed his internship under Van Wilder and moves to Camford University in good Ole Blighty and shows the uptight students how to party. Sounds similar to the movie How High featuring Method Man and Redman. Should be entertaining nonetheless.
I’ll try to catch it this weekend either by myself or with Karthik and get a review in here by Monday.

I think Kal can do it. I remember watching Harold and Kumar for the nth time the other night and Kal is a pretty good actor and has great timing.
